by Barbara Kingsolver
I liked it. It didn't rock my world or anything, but Barbara Kingsolver writes solid stuff. You can't go wrong picking up any of her novels: gorgeous writing, multi-dimensional characters, meaningful plot, oppression, minorities, communication breakdowns, all that good stuff. Also, the male lead in
Animal Dreams is adorable. As in, heck yes I would take him home with me.

I heard an interview with Kingsolver on NPR. I thought of you, me, this book, The Poisonwood Bible and Fundamentalist Christians.
