Brothers
Abraham has a knack for taking pictures of our newborns when they're pulling the most fabulous faces. I like these two shots because they truly illustrate how (phenotypically) similar our children are.
Soren, aged 15 days, January 2007.
Liam, aged 5 days, February 2009.

Rach-- Um, I've been speaking English awhile, but... "phenotypically"? I love the sound of it, get the gist... but don't actually know what it means. Something like "freakishly cute?!" :D In related matters: Have the Smith children taken some sample licks of Liam to find out if he's tasty or not, yet? Just curious. No reason. --H.
I usually can't tell who a baby looks like when they are newborn, but from the first pics you posted of Liam I could see his older brother. That top picture of Soren is SO Soren! It made me laugh. Liam definitely looks like Soren, but somehow, a little more subdued. He doesn't have quite the 'trouble-maker' look in his eye. Let's hope that's true and this one gives his mommy a bit more of a rest!
You know, Karen, it's true. Liam does look a little milder. I think it's telling that, with Soren, I craved Mexican food, and with Liam, I craved apples.

Isn't it funny how much alike your kids look? All three of our kids have the same face pretty much and it makes me laugh.
