I found your blog through other old Whymount blogs (remember me? I was your visiting teacher. I mean, I assume you probably remember me, but this way you don't have to pretend you do and try and figure out who I am if you don't remember me, or my name or something...Anyway...).
I really liked this book, although I do think that her dad letting her stay with them at the end of the book is a little unrealistic in the south in the 1950s (or 60's I can't quite remember). But what are books for, if not to play out the nicer options than would liably happen?
I also really liked your post on a day in your and Soren's life (I have a brother named Soren; I love the name. Don't worry, I'm not going to use it, or anything, and make it less cool by over concentration). I often read to help my under-stimulatedness.
