I might have to read it again. I also loved the first part of the book! And the island was so eerie! It was doubly eerie that it seemed not to exist- i.e. No one could find it. Maybe it's something of a kraken.Melanie Allenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01349961862611857635noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18677325.post-56587197782742386512015-11-19T08:07:46.489-08:002015-11-19T08:07:46.489-08:00Asa!
FIrst of all, I didn't like the weird l...Asa!

FIrst of all, I didn't like the weird living island thing that Pi landed on towards the end of the book. And I also hated the story when it turned from animals to people. I know that was the "cool twist," but I hated it.

And yes, my intent was to not-sell the Christian book, bless its heart. Though it was a contemporary story.

I will look into this Wool book.

Read All the Light We Cannot See! You'll be glad!

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18677325.post-52090981487402833732015-11-19T07:45:06.974-08:002015-11-19T07:45:06.974-08:00Isn't it the ending that makes the life of Pi ...Isn't it the ending that makes the life of Pi worth it? I did watch the movie, so I know what happens, but I imagine the book does it better. Because, you know, it's the book.

I'm not into Christian fiction, not into light novels, not into the time setting that all those Christian novels seem to take place, (1750-1900) and not into two dimensional characters. So I had to laugh when you suggested that novel, because it was like an anti-sale.

I haven't actually finished it, because I want to sleep so I refuse to check it out from the library and only read it there, but wool by Hugh Howey is really good and intense. I failed to predict anything in that book. In the later part of the book there is much more language.

I love heavy poetry books, so maybe I'll read all the light we cannot see.Asahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17122393230026277738noreply@blogger.com
